Photography FAQ

What do photos cost?

Photography work is charged by work being performed, and can vary greatly.  We will provide you a full cost proposal up front and can work with you on your budget. Some shoots require more time, and post session editing.  A portion of payment is required up front, and the remainder once you have received the final product.

Do you have a studio to shoot my photos?

We have a small studio used to shoot product shots and some limited portraits.  We have partnership access to a multitude of various location settings for your shoot.  Let me know what you want and I will design and choose the right venue.

How much notice do you need?

The more notice you can provide for a shoot, the better the chances of availability.  We can generally do smaller shoots (real estate or simple portraits) with a day or two notice.

What forms of payment do you take?

We currently accept E-transfer, cash or PayPal.

Do you do video?

We do not do video work at this time.  If you would like video in conjunction with still photos, we can recommend a videographer to suit your needs.

Do I keep my photos?

Once you have made payment in full, you get to keep all of your photos.  You will receive all photos in electronic format, and printed (if you have ordered prints).  We ask that to retain the right to use select photos as samples.

Staging FAQ

How long does it take to set up or remove staged furniture?

Staging of your home happens in four phases.  First is the consult which determines the scope of what we will do in the home.  This can take a couple hours.   Second is the preliminary stage which can happen from 24-72 hours after consultation, and can take between 1 and 4 hours to complete.  The third stage is maintenance, where slight adjustments, modifications or changes to the stage can occur.  This is ongoing d and more applicable to staged homes that have fresh cut flowers or similar items.  The final stage is the tear down.  This where we remove all staged items from the home.  This usually takes anywhere from 1 to 2 hours.

What happens to my furniture and other items that are removed?

Sometimes a portion of your items will need to removed, and other times its is recommended to remove all items.  Often working with an empty space is the most simple and efficient way.

You may elect to move your goods to an area of the home for storage (basement or garage).  Alternatively you can move your goods off site.  We can arrange to move it for you for an additional fee.  We additionally have connections with various storage facilities for convenience.

Do I have a say in the decor?

While we value your ideas and input, your home is staged with a particular goal in mind.  We prefer that you relax and leave the details to us.

Can I keep or buy some of the staged items?

On occasion we can make arrangements for customers to purchase pieces they see and wish to keep.  Because we use a variety of items from our own warehouse, and items provided through third party partners, we cannot guarantee availability or price.

What happens if something gets broken in my home?

We know that accidents happen.  For this reason, minor scratches and dents, wear and tear are covered under our basic pricing.  You may purchase additional insurance to cover the cost of additional damage to goods provided.  You will be responsible for any significant damages, or any loss while the goods are in your home.

Can I extend or shorten the time frame my home is staged?

We can most often accommodate a shortened staging period with a few days notice.  You would be responsible for the contracted price regardless of how short the period cut.  In many cases we can extend the staging period to accommodate your sale or specific circumstances.  It is always best to notify us as soon as possible to make sure everything is available for the time you need.
